October Gathering

Saturday, October 7

Billy and Robin got the agenda underway and wouldn't you know, he has to give the floor to Bob Greer to announce upcoming events.  To make it even worst, Bob McCroskey is giving the floor also to make his announcements.  He invited Chapter E to their next meeting to see a short 5 minute video he shot during the Fall Harvest Fun Day.  We're wondering what the price will be to ensure we aren't embarrassed.

As the gathering progressed, it was time for Harold to try and get rid of the Bonehead hat.  He was a bit stunned when the only Bonehead nomination came from Robin.  She had a great story to tell about Billy leaving his teeth in their truck and she is on her way to work in Atlanta.  Well, for the full story, you will have to corner Billy and hear all of it.  But, can you imagine wearing teeth all day long that don't fit?  For his fun antics, Billy will be sporting the sharp looking hat for October.

The Chapter did have a special visitor for the evening.  During the trip to the Chapter V Gum Swamp Extravaganza, Billy and Kelly noticed a lonely mascot and make sure he, she or it had a ride out of the Chapter V area of Georgia.  The cute mascot adorned out podium for the meeting and to much amazement, it was gone by the end of the evening.  So, if you recognize this little mascot and know the rightful owner, you may want to notify them of it's last know location.

Several of the chapter members celebrated birthdays and anniversaries in the month of October and Laura Sue requested everyone sing Happy Birthday in only the way that Chapter E could.

Kelles was nominated for Good Samaritan this month for his donation of Frequent Flier points to allow the children of a neighbor to fly home from Portland, Oregon to be with their mother before she died of cancer.

Along with door prize drawings, Sandra had a nice game of GWRRA Bingo at the evening's contest.  Of course, everyone was waiting for the 50/25/25 drawing before the meeting ended.  To see the results of Bingo game and the 50/25/25, go to the Award Winners link.
