Buggy Days BBQ

Saturday, September 16, 2006

Cooler temperatures greeted the members and visitors who came to the Fleming home to join in on the Barnesville Buggy Days parade Ride and BBQ.

After meeting up, we all rode to the parade staging area and got there in time to find our proper place.  After waiting for the parade to get underway, the children along the route was happy to see that several of the members were giving out candy.

Billy had a bit of trouble with his clutch overheating and had to pull over and wait until it cooled/  Also, John and Sherry's bike was not showing the alternator putting out any voltage and we hope it was temporary.

After getting back to the house, it was time to fire up the grill and cook some burgers and hotdogs going.  With all the typical BBQ side dishes and several outstanding desserts, no one had any excuse for leaving hungry.

Several of the younger folks braved the cool water temperatures in the pool and went swimming.  One other member of the group showed us his diving abilities but then gave us a laugh when a simple float gave him trouble.

The deck was the focal point for everyone to gather and talk.  As usual, stories and jokes came to the surface and everyone had a good time.  For those who couldn't make it, we missed you and hope to see you on the next group outing.
