Atlantic Station Gets a Visit From Chapter E

Billy, Robin, Jackie, Patty, Kelles, Laura Sue, Skipper and Mary Alice traveled to Atlanta to take in the Atlantic Station on May 13.  After meeting at BP north in Thomaston, the rest of the group was met up with at the Waffle House in Griffin.  With sunny, clear skies as we rode north, no one expected the rain clouds would start forming so fast.  By the time we got to Atlanta Motor Speedway, the clouds had us in the shade and wondering about rain.

Once we got to Turner Field, the rain began and the decision had to be made whether to stop and done rain gear or continue on and get to The Atlantic Station.  Everyone continued on and made it to the covered parking and was ready to enjoy the day.  Billy kept warning he was going to turn around and go home because he had no rain suit. Well, we took care of that problem when we arrived at our destination.  A roll of trash bags were donated to ensure Billy and Robin would stay with us.

The group wondered around and looked at several stores then, it was time to find food.  Imagine a bunch or Gold Wingers wanting to eat some food.  With Robin exploring the menu at one restaurant, the rest of the clan was gathered around another menu at the restaurant called Strips.  Everyone was willing to give Strips a try.

After lunch, we again looked in stored and walked around the area before deciding to call it a day there.  On the way home, we stopped by Tanger Outlet Mall in Locust Grove and continued with the walking and shopping.

Once everyone was ready to leave, it was determined we needed to eat more food before parting ways and going home.  Kelles had been leading the group all day and nothing was going to change when we left Tanger.  Even though he was working to show off some new log homes nearby, the others believed he was lost or took the wrong road.  Nevertheless, he did lead the gang safely back through Barnesville where we stopped and had a light supper in the newly opened Sonic restaurant.  After a lot of conversation and laughs, the group parted ways and made their way home.

Each of the rides we have are filled with a lot of laughs and fun.  It is a great time to relax and forget about work, chores and the daily grind.  We urge everyone to join in and become part of the fun.  As it has been said so often, the more you put into it, the more fun you will get out of it.
